From the eyes of an intern [customer service, teamwork, and trust in agricultural testing]
During my time at Ward Laboratories Inc., I have gained a deeper understanding of what trust in agricultural testing and being apart of a value driven organization means. From my very first day, it became clear that Ward Labs is more than just a workplace, it is a community built on respect, shared goals, and a strong commitment to excellence. In observing and experiencing the day-to-day operations, I have come to appreciate three core values that define the culture and work ethic of the organization: customer service, teamwork, and trust in agricultural testing. These values shape not only the customer experience but also the internal dynamics that make this a positive, growth-oriented environment.
Customer Service
Foremost among these is a commitment to customer service. Every team member consistently prioritizes the needs of the customer, regardless of how challenging the situation may be. I have never witnessed anyone dismissing or overlooking a customer’s concerns. Instead, there is a collective dedication to ensuring that customers receive accurate results in a timely and efficient manner. For example, I have noticed with many people I work around, if someone calls about something they will drop what they are doing and help the customer no matter how long it takes. I have had a few instances where if someone needs results sent out, they don’t get put off for later. I send them out right away. That is how everyone here at Ward functions. The focus on reliability and trust is clearly a cornerstone of the organization’s values.
Teamwork
Another key aspect I have observed is the strong sense of teamwork. As an intern, entering a new environment with many unfamiliar faces can be daunting. However, at Ward Labs, I was welcomed with genuine support and approachability. The workplace fosters a healthy, collaborative atmosphere where everyone is willing to lend a hand without hesitation. When I first started my internship, I needed quite a bit of help with learning how to use the different programs and other tools for my position. Whenever I would ask co-workers in my department to show me how to do something, they came over immediately even if they were working on something. Regardless of the task, the team operates with unity and mutual respect, creating a truly supportive environment for both staff and clients.
Trust and Communication
When asked what I believe is most important for customers to understand about Ward Labs, my answer is simple: trust and communication. Choosing the right laboratory is not only about timely results, but also about establishing a strong, open relationship. It is essential that our customers feel confident in their ability to communicate with our team. When communication flows freely and trust is established, we build lasting relationships that benefit everyone. At Ward Laboratories Inc., we actively strive to avoid breakdowns in communication and make it a priority to maintain transparency, responsiveness, and approachability at every level.
In conclusion, Ward Labs has been an outstanding place to learn and grow. Over the past eight months, I have had a thoroughly positive experience and look forward to the rest of time here as an intern. The team has encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone, helping me grow both personally and professionally. What truly distinguishes Ward Laboratories Inc. is their dedication to customer service, teamwork, and trust in agricultural testing. That level of care and investment in people is rare and deeply appreciated.
