A perfectly balanced beer starts with properly balanced water.

Our user-friendly, craft brewing test kits make it easy!

As a craft brewer, you can’t afford to be wrong about your water quality.

Understanding what’s in your water means that you can make the best possible decisions for your company. We’ll test for a variety of components that can affect the taste and quality of your finished product.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Calcium, magnesium, sulfate, sodium, chloride, bicarbonate, carbonate, iron, nitrate, phosphorus & potassium
  • Total hardness (lime), total alkalinity, electrical conductivity, pH & estimated total dissolved solids

How do I sample my water?

  1. Use the clean plastic container included in your test kit.
  2. Let water run for five minutes.
  3. Rinse the container several times with water that is being sampled and then fill the sample bottle. Send at least one-half pint of water to be tested.
  4. If it is not possible to send the sample to the lab immediately after collection, refrigerate until it is.

Can Ward test my beer sample after the brewing process is complete?

Yes! We test more than just your water. We often test finished product samples to check for mineral content that can affect your beer’s flavor profile.

You’re on your way to better beer!

Order your test kit and submit your sample.
